kicking it, soccer-style

Britton started soccer this weekend!  She loved it so much last year that it was a given she'd be doing it again this fall.  It's an odd group this year, as none of the other kids seem to have ever played soccer before.  The first class was a lot of basic instruction, so I'm hoping that they will move on to more advanced skills so Britton can continue to progress.

And, total odd side note, her coach looks like Harry Styles.  But not in a good way.  It was kind of creepy.  But he's excited and seems to love working with kids, so I'll ignore the ridiculous hair for now.

One thing I love about this soccer program is that each practice ends with a quick scrimmage.  There's no real games, so I'm not carting her all over town multiple times a week.  I'd much rather Britton get to play and learn for the entire lesson than stand on a soccer field for a hour while they play a real game.

Britton loves being outside and running around, so soccer is a great fit for her.  Here's to a fun soccer season!
