barrett: 82 months old

Barrett is fully embracing this social isolation we're currently under!  Since we got back from New Mexico, Barrett has been full-tilt into LEGOs, making trains out of boxes, and using clay to make a Titanic model.  As you can see from his picture, it's been hard to convince him to get out of pajamas. I did realize on our drive to New Mexico that it was his birthday picture day and took one in the car, but just decided to recreate it with the placard so I knew which month his picture went with.

Speaking of New Mexico, Barrett was iffy on skiing, which is to be expected since it was his first time.  He and Britton both loved tubing, which of course involves much less work and skill! Ha! The hubs and I had no idea that tubing would be so fast, and found ourselves flying out of control down the lanes.  But the kids loved that aspect of it!

Likes:  snow tubing, snow, making his own Titanic models and sinking them, the movie "Frozen" (we watched it three times total on the drive), the show "Puppy Dog Pals"

Dislikes:  having to get dressed when we're not going anywhere

Britton has the kind of hair people pay a ton of money to try and achieve - thick, shiny, bouncy.  She got a haircut and it makes her look so grown up, and is easier to take care of.  She's wearing her camp shirt in this monthly photo, and we've signed her up for a two week session this summer!  We were picking activities this evening, and I'm kind of jealous that my camps growing up didn't have podcasting and drama.  She also signed up for horseback riding, softball, riflery, archery, and tons more.  And she is working hard towards two fun culminations of hard work - her play Mary Poppins, Jr. in May AND her dance recital in June.

A new milestone - the dreaded cell phone.  We've been letting Britton stay home for short periods of time, where I need to drop off Barrett or run to the store.  But I was not comfortable with her not having a phone for emergencies.  So, Aunt Jessica suggested that instead of a land line telephone, it was so much cheaper to get an additional cell phone line.  And since we had an extra phone we'd gotten free a while ago, we ordered the SIM card and $20 later had a new house phone! Of course, Britton thinks of it as her phone.

Likes:  riding her bike around the neighborhood with friends, getting ready for spring break!

Dislikes:  any noise our noisy dog makes
