Before Britton's bath last night, she grabbed her bath crayons and set them on the edge of the tub. I got her undressed and went to put her in the tub when she grabbed one crayon. She gleefully held it up to me and simply said "yellow." No prompting, no "what color is the crayon????" sing-song learning moment courtesy of yours truly. And she was RIGHT!
Britton's first color love:
She knew the color. She can repeat all the other colors but this was the first time she had offered up the color on her own. And it was just this week that I noticed how big she's getting, how much better and faster and more often she speaks. Britton will repeat all we say, "read" books at end, and wants to go through all the specifics of any item - color, shape, up or down, big or small.
She even commandeered Grandma's sunglasses and put them on her head like I wear mine.
And is big enough to reach the peddles on the giraffe bike, and can move the peddles with her feet.
Caution: Britton is a professional kid. Do not try this at home.
This girl is growing and learning by leaps and bounds. She is so much fun at this age, so ready to experience anything and everything. If things keep going this way, I think she's a keeper.
