Yesterday, May 31, 2010, Britton took her first steps. Her first three steps to be exact, without help, no holding onto anything, all by herself. The hub and I caught sight of it at the same time and looked at each other, knowing what she was doing. We then freaked out and tried to get her to do again, but her stubborn side came out and she refused. She hasn't walked since, but she is "walking" up a storm - holding onto furniture and her "babysitter" while taking steps.
Here is her step-by-step (bad pun intended) progress of pulling herself up and attempting to walk, though sadly no walking to be had today. She's darn cute though, especially the picture where she's concentrating so hard, so that more than makes up for it! Besides, once she can walk, Sadie is doomed.
