What a birthday! Britton went in for tubes this morning, so she wasn't up for much celebrating. She is getting so big now - over 27 inches long, 19 pounds 9 ounces, and she is trying desperately to walk. She hasn't figured out the crawling thing yet, and it frustrates her to no end to get her legs tangled up under her. But she can rise from sitting to standing when sitting on my leg, and she can hold onto the ottoman. Grandma taught her to play pat-a-cake this week, so she's been demanding we clap with her, and she loves peek-a-boo. When we sing or play music, she moves her body back and forth to dance. She has become so much more interactive and really enjoys playing with the other babies in daycare. If we leave the room before she is ready, she squawks her head off, yelling for us to come back and play. She has moved beyond just making noises to baby babbling, and calls everything "da da." Which is fine by the hub. We are so looking forward to the next few days as we see the changes in her without ear infections. She smiles, laughs, and is generally in a good playful mood. And she has two teeth!
Likes: eating, chewing everything, pat-a-cake, dancing to music, standing/walking with support, the outdoors, Sadie, Sophie the Giraffe, splashing the water in the tub, walks in the stroller
Dislikes: having her diaper changed on the changing table, wind, being left alone, and teething
Also, for the first time, she was able to tear down my month sign behind her in the picture, so here's a progression of how our photo shoot went...
