just dance!

Britton's school held a "Daddy Daughter Dance" on Friday evening, and when Britton excitedly brought home the flier a couple of weeks ago, the hubs knew he would be going!  Britton and I went through a ton of dresses online, and she picked out a beautiful gown with pink flower petals in the skirt and a big pink bow on the back.  It arrived right before our trip and fit perfectly, so I knew she'd be ready when we returned.

For some reason, Britton had a half day of school on Friday, so she was geared up after dinner to get ready!  I wanted to do her hair first, knowing it would take some time.  Britton grabbed her "Frozen Hairstyles" book and picked out a braided bun.  I set to work with a ton of hair elastics and bobby pins, and added the little pink bow at the last minute.  I added the french braid to the front to try and cover up where Britton tried to cut some bangs!

Then we got her into her dress and she added some jewelry - her charm bracelet and a flower ring.  She played some computer games while waiting for the hubs to get his suit on.

A close-up of her hair.  The hubs reports that Britton and her friends never stopped dancing, and that bun actually stayed in!  A testament to the power of 100 bobby pins!

Too soon, Britton will be posing on the staircase with her prom date, so we'll gladly enjoy these dances where Daddy makes the perfect date.  What a fantastic night for these two!
