Britton had a fun Halloween, even though it looked quite different than usual. She had her friend Olivia over for the day, and they walked up to Starbucks all by themselves. Britton has been craving some independence, but being home doing virtual school all day doesn't really lend itself to independent opportunities.
The kids agreed that we wouldn't trick or treat this year, so we loaded them up with candy, making them knock on doors in the house. Then the hubs and I pretended to be crotchety neighbors handing out candy.
Back to Miss Independence - Britton is going back to face-to-face school next week! We've been watching the numbers, and her school has had only one case since school started. Britton found her classes to be harder online, and I think she will enjoy having her teachers more available. Britton has had a private clarinet lesson once per week (virtual), so she's ahead of her woodwind class! I love hearing her play every day. I'm really going to miss that, and getting to eat lunch together every day.
Likes: all the masks I'm making for her (she picked out the fabrics)
Dislikes: practicing the clarinet
