October has started off fast and furious, with Homecoming festivities this week. Britton dressed up for the themes each day, culminating on Thursday with her mum! I did the traditional color of gold for her senior year, and added the Pusheen plushie with a graduation cap and diploma. I also added her activities - softball, NHS, SNHS, and Academic Decathlon. It was heavy but not nearly as big as some that her classmates were dragging around!
We tried to go to the homecoming football game, but a monsoon swept through and the game was delayed 4 hours - until 10:30 pm, and they didn't finish the game until 1:00 am. No matter to us, we left at 7:30 pm, convinced that the game was going to be cancelled anyways. The homecoming dance is tonight!
On to other non-homecoming news, Britton has been accepted to the University of Oklahoma and Texas State! OU is her first choice, so she was very relieved to get that email. It's so different these days - the hubs and I remember waiting at the mailbox to see if the college's response envelope would be thin (not accepted/waitlisted) or thick (accepted). Now they get instant responses with email!
Likes: her costume of Mabel Pines for Halloween - she made it herself!
Dislikes: coming up with new lunch ideas every week
